Davidson Community Players seeks 2026 Season Directors

Davidson Community Players is seeking director applications for its 2026 Main Stage adult and Connie  Company youth seasons. Director rates vary by show, needs, and venue, typically ranging from $2000 to  $3500.

Please submit interest by July 1. 

In keeping with DCP’s values and processes, prospective directors should: 

  • Have prior directing experience in college, community, or professional settings. • Prioritize collaboration, flexibility, and generosity with all designers, actors, and production crew  members. 
  • BE A NICE PERSON! 

To be considered for the 2026 season, please select one of our prospective shows from the list below and  submit a resume, contact info for 3 references, and a 1-2 page pitch that answers the following: 

  • What, for you, is the spine, heartbeat, or soul of this show? 
  • Why are you the right director for it? 
  • How would you determine success for your production of this show? 
  • Which questions would you ask in a first design meeting to guide a vision for the show that is  appropriate for its venue?
