Community Theatre of Greensboro seeks Development Manager

Organization: Community Theatre of Greensboro (CTG)
Location: Greensboro, NC
Reports To: Executive Director
Schedule: Part-Time (15–20 hours per week; flexible schedule with some evening/weekend events)

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, relationship-driven Development Manager to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This part-time role plays a vital part in sustaining and growing contributed revenue through donor stewardship, events, sponsorship support, and database management.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and passionate about the performing arts and community engagement. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Campaign Support

  • Creating and implementing, in partnership with the Executive Director, CTG staff, and Board of Directors, a yearly plan for sales and donations to meet financial goals. 
  • Securing sponsorships for CTG’s main-stage and youth productions and special events
  • Selling advertising space for CTG’s main-stage and youth show programs
  • Help lead fund campaigns, appeals, and special fundraising initiatives
  • Coordinate mailing lists, digital communications, and campaign tracking
  • Support grant research and proposal preparation as needed

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Building relationships with current and potential CTG supporters
  • Assist in managing donor communications, acknowledgments, and stewardship touchpoints
  • Support cultivation strategies for individual donors
  • Maintain accurate donor records in an established database and generate reporting

Events & Sponsorships

  • Help plan and execute fundraising events (galas, opening nights, donor receptions, etc.)
  • Assist with sponsor fulfillment and recognition
  • Support event logistics, including invitations, RSVPs, and follow-up

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with donor databases and Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Customer service or relationship-building experience
  • Passion for theatre, arts education, and community engagement

Compensation

  • Compensation for this position ranges from $25 to $40 per hour and will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated success in fundraising, donor engagement
