The Davidson College Theatre Department (Davidson, NC) is seeking a full-time temporary Master Carpenter starting September 2 (earlier if possible) through May 2025.
Duties include: build, installation, and tech of scenic elements for a 4 show season, plus one student realized production; supervision/mentoring of student shop workers; classroom project support as needed.
Minimum qualifications: minimum 1-2 years experience building theatrical scenery, demonstration of strong collaboration skills, ability to take direction, experience mentoring college/novice students.
Additional desired skills: sound tech/engineering.
The Theatre Department has a large fully equipped scenic studio, including dedicated construction space, assembly area, and paint room.”
Salary: $19.23/hour with full benefits, overtime eligible
