Show Dates: Oct 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19
Directed by David Nields
Audition Dates: Monday, August 18 @ 7 p.m. and Tuesday, August 19 @ 7 p.m.
The auditions will be held at the Old Post Office Playhouse, located at 10 South Main Avenue, Newton, NC 28658.
NOTE: There might be some improv exercises during the audition. This particular version is described as “not your grandmother’s Jane Austen.” It is fun and clever, with a few anachronisms here and there, and improv could very well be part of the rehearsal process.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script. The director is looking for cast members ages 14+. There are different generations represented in the show, so all ages are encouraged to audition.
The Green Room Community Theatre is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. As such, we encourage performers of all races and ethnicities, gender identities, sexualities, abilities, and ages, to attend every audition.
You must be available for all performances. Please bring your list of rehearsal conflicts with you. You MUST be able to attend all of the tech week (the week before the show opens) unless in rare emergency cases an exception is approved before being cast by the director.
