AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
This show requires 10+ actors of all genders, identity, capability, and/or experience. The casting team is looking for a diverse group of performers across the board. This production is rated PG-13, with adult language & situations, domestic violence, and thematic horror. All performance roles are volunteer.
Age Range: At this time, we are allowing actors 13+ to audition for this production. In an effort of transparency, however, please note that minors will not be cast in any role that requires physical contact and/or intimacy with anyone who is 18+. This may limit the roles, if any, that will be cast for performers under the age of 18.
Beginning with the 2025-2026 season, ALL auditions will move to 30-minute time slots of ten people or less. Performers are asked to arrive 10 minutes before their time slot.
Auditions are closed, which means only those auditioning may be in the house. Anyone who is not signed up for the audition in that particular time slot is to remain in the lobby until the audition process is finished.
Auditions are appointment only; you must schedule your appointment to finalize this audition form and secure your spot.
Mandatory Dates: October 11-12 (Q2Q), October 13 -16 (Tech Week), October 17-26 (Show Dates/Pick Up). Availability throughout the rehearsal process may affect casting.
Location: 238 S. Clay Street, Gastonia NC, 28052. Parking is adjacent to the building and limited parking on the street. Please do not block cars in.
WHAT TO BRING:
Monologue: Please check the audition packet for your choice of monologue.
Dance: Please wear comfortable clothing for a dance call.
Music: Please prepare one of the songs below. Cuts for the song will be available at auditions, so be familiar with the entire song of your choice:
- “Feed Me! (Git It)” (Baritone/Bass or Alto w/ Belt) – auditioning for Audrey II, Mr. Mushnik, Orville
- “Grow for Me” (Tenor/Baritenor) – auditioning Seymour, Orville
- “Somewhere That’s Green” (Alto/Mezzo) – auditioning for Audrey
- “Prologue/Little Shop of Horrors” (Alto/Mezzo/Soprano) – auditioning Crystal, Chiffon, Ronette
