PlayMakers Repertory Company (LORT D), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Carpenter for their 2024-2025 season. PRC produces a 6-show main stage season in the Paul Green Theatre, thrust stage, and a 3 show Second Stage series in the Kenan Theater, a flexible space, on the campus of the University of North Carolina. Applicants should have two to three years of professional theatre experience. Successful candidate will have good organizational/communication skills. Knowledge of advanced woodworking, valid driver’s license, welding and rigging is a plus. Responsibilities include load in and strike, carpenter for all PRC shows, some supervision of student crews building productions. Ability to work with multi-skill level crews including professionals, graduate students and undergraduate students is required.
Contract dates are 8/5/24-5/4/25. Start date is negotiable.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
