About Studio 1
Studio 1 is a vibrant community theatre dedicated to enriching the lives of our patrons through engaging productions and educational programs. We offer a variety of shows, classes, and workshops for all ages.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and energetic individual to fill the dual role of Administrative Assistant and Director of Marketing. You will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the theatre and ensuring a positive experience for our patrons. This is a hands-on position that requires a blend of administrative skills, marketing creativity, and a willingness to tackle various tasks.
Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Manage the Executive Director’s calendar, schedule appointments, and handle administrative tasks.
- Maintain office supplies, manage teacher payroll, and conduct surveys.
- Oversee the entire building’s cleanliness and maintain a welcoming lobby.
- Assist with box office operations, including ticket sales, answering patron inquiries, and managing merchandise inventory.
- Manage reservations for all rooms and update the weekly schedule board.
- Ensure rehearsal spaces are prepared and sign-in/out studio keys for directors.
Marketing and Communication:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns for upcoming productions and programs.
- Create eye-catching graphics and marketing materials for print and social media.
- Manage social media platforms and ensure consistent daily posting.
- Manage the info@studio1online.org inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Write and distribute press releases to promote Studio 1 in the community.
- Update the Studio 1 videos and maintain poster displays.
Requirements
- An adult who has the availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays (1:00 PM – 7:00 PM) and some weekend hours (variable). Must be available to work until 7:00 pm.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft, Google and graphic programs
- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Experience in a publishing program of some sort (Canva, Publisher, etc.)
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (totes, furniture).

Pay and hours
- Pay will be $18-$20 per hour depending on experience
- Hours will be 24-30 per week
- Job will begin mid-August
