Schedule
- Rehearsals will begin the week of September 27th. A specific rehearsal calendar with times and breakdowns will be provided to the cast in at the first readthrough.
- Technical/Dress Rehearsals will be November 1-5, 2026.
- Performances will be November 6-8, 12-15, 19-22, 2026.
- No conflicts will be allowed between October 25 – November 22, 2026
About The Play
It’s 1970. Somewhere in Ohio, six women meet on a basketball court to form a consciousness-raising women’s liberation group, determined to shake up their lives and change the world. Fifty years later, one of their daughters tries to understand where things fell apart.
A provocative, wildly theatrical play that poses vital questions about friendship, legacy and the true meaning of liberation, investigating what we inherit, what we forget, and what we’re still fighting to understand.
Character Breakdown
- We practice identity conscious casting! We consider the complexities of identities integral to the characters. Genders/Races/Ages of the characters are included in the descriptions.
- Actors of any genders, sizes, abilities/disabilities, and other identities are invited to audition for these roles.
- All roles are paid and non-union. Stipends will be $590.
LIZZE – Woman. Flexible age. White.
MARGIE – Woman. 50’s-60’s. White.
SUSAN – Woman. Early 20’s. White.
CELESTE – Woman. Late 30’s. Black.
ISIDORA – Woman. Late 30’s-40. White.
DORA – Woman. Mid 20’s. White.
JOANNE – Woman. Early 30’s. Black.
BILL – Man. Late 20’s- early 30’s. White.
